Investigation being conducted into disappearance of Amesville teen

Authorities with the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office and Athens County Sheriff’s Office are aware of a recent social media post from an individual purporting to be Serah Bellar and are investigating the matter.  

Bellar, of Amesville, was reported missing at age 16 on April 16, 2020. In the post, she claims to be safe and left the area on her own. Other allegations made in the post are also being investigated.  

Anyone with information pertaining to the case is asked to contact Chief Investigator Jay Barrett at the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office at 740-592-3208.
